Beacon Hill and Charles River Engagement: Anu & Kshitij

I seriously have learned more from my clients than I ever did in school.  The most terrifying yet amazing thing happened on the day of Anu + Kshitij’s engagement shoot.  It rained… I mean it RAINED like hell.  And the most stressful part was wondering how on earth we would ever find time to reschedule the shoot?  Anu is an uber-busy lawyer from NYC and Kshitij had flown in from Ohio.  OMG!!  All day that Sunday, Anu & I stalked weather.com and tracked the hourly forecast… “it’s doomed to rain all day” I said… while Anu (the smarty lawyer that she is) said “wait wait, it’s suppose to clear up for an hour. Let’s push the shoot back just 1 hour, and I think we’ll be fine”.  Clear up for an hour?!!  We’ll be fine?!!  Ok now this just goes to tell you what a skeptic I am, because how often is the weatherman right?!  I mean seriously, it’s a good thing he doesn’t get paid to be accurate.  So I took Anu’s word, and jumped in my car… drove right into town in the pouring rain… hoping and wondering if the clouds would part for us.  Behold the magic of Anu’s optimism (I guess I could learn a thing or two from her, huh?), because surely the the clouds parted… they parted just enough for a wonderfully perfect overcast sky… perfect photo light!!  And as we walked down from Beacon Hill to the Charles River, we even caught a perfectly glowing sunset.

Lesson for the day: Don’t be so skeptical… I guess there really is a sliver lining to every cloud.  Congrats Anu + Kshitij.  Can’t wait for your big day that’s coming up soon.
