Chic Choco-Ivory Indian Wedding: Shivani + Pranav

She had just graduated and entered the working world as a young, starry-eyed woman.  And like any new beginning, there were many unknowns.  But what Shivani did know right off the bat was that there was a cute Indian guy in the office.  Score!   To say the least, it certainly kept things interesting.  It started off as smirks and smiles.  Flirtatious glances then turned into chit-chat… chit-chats turned into dates… and dates turned into a friendship.  A friendship that turned into the best thing that every happened to each of them.  It’s funny how things work out sometimes.

Shivani and Pranav’s wedding day was a complete mirror of their personality – simply FABULOUS!  They married at her parents’ home, and celebrated with a stylish reception at the Tiffany Ballroom.  Shivani was adorned from head-to-toe in the most glamorous jewels, and her lengha elegantly draped by Bridal Beauty.

Just putting on a few finishing touches before the handsome groom arrives.  Shivani was one of the most collected brides I’ve seen.  You are amazing!

I guess the best part of getting married at home is that you can keep an eye on all the action going on outside.

Well, well, well.  Hello Pranav.  Nothing like working for Herb Chambers and being able to pull a few little strings for your grand arrival.  This little party definitely got the attention of some of the neighbors too!

I think this photo sums up Pranav’s personality.  Cool, calm and confident.

Shivani & Pranav prepare to welcome one another with the exchange of garlands.

A beautiful mandap by Alankar.  And although it was nearly high noon, the light was just beautiful.

I live for these moments during the ceremony.  Pranav’s quiet glance towards his bride depicts the honest and true emotion of the day.

You can always tell how in love two people are by the way they react when they look at one another.  YOU GUYS ARE ADORABLE!

Shivani’s look was simply radiant.  And she had the most stunning eye-makeup ever; thanks to Ricardo Delgado MAC Boston.  Just wait till you scroll down to look at her reception photos!

Exchanging vows while holding each other’s heart. Such a beautiful sentiment.

After the ceremony we ventured off to take some more relaxed photos.  A huge thanks to Maureen for joining me on this day, and tag-teaming.  Way to work it out girl.

Stop it guys – you make the trees look glamorous!

As Shivani and Pranav ran back inside to prepare for their next wardrobe change, we were able to grab some shots of the reception setup.  They chose a chocolate brown, ivory & yellow color palette.  So beautifully executed, especially with the coordinated uplights from Boston Sound & Light.

Yummy treats by Devine Weddings of Rhode Island.  You could just smell the sugar in the air.

There’s a touch of understated elegance in this ivory and yellow floral centerpiece.  Charlotte Design did a magnificent job; and who doesn’t love dangling crystals.

I always admire the detailed cakes from Montilio’s.  And I love the new family crest on the cake too!  Genius.

After wrapping the reception and decor shots, we jumped back outside for a last set of portraits with the newlyweds.  By this time in the day, the light was soft, hazy and just beautiful.  Shivani – you’re a bombshell.  Pranav is one lucky guy!!

I love that these two make each other feel so special.  You guys look like a dream come true!

So here is the fabulous evening makeup I was talking about.  Hello!!  Glitter-Dipped-Eyelashes. Ricardo you are a genius!!

The light pouring in from behind Shivani and Pranav was to die for.  I could have just stayed outside till sunset.

But alas, only one last set of shots before we had to head back inside for their grand entrance!

And the grand entrance was nothing short of grand.  Complete with a personal drum-player and fist-pumping!!  Oh, and how much do we love Pranav’s suit… a great change from the traditional black tux.

The first dance!  They looked like they were floating on air.

And maybe, just maybe, some of their friends and family told a few embarrassing stories during the speeches.  It’s all good!

Do we really need to cut up that gorgeous cake?

It’s always great to see the bride and groom have a little fun at their own reception.  Nothing like making some funny faces in the photo booth provided by Photobooth Planet.

And I was just thrilled to see the tremendous reaction to their same-day video edit.  A huge shout out to Chris, Adam, Danielle & Andy – a powerhouse team that I couldn’t be more proud of for making the video come to life!

One last dance with daddy’s little girl.  Mr. Chetty, you have a daughter that is beautiful inside and out!

And now it’s time to get the party started.  I don’t know, what do you think?  New Facebook profile picture?

And you know the party is always off-the-hook when DJ Yogz of Boston Sound & Light is in charge!  Congratulations Shivani & Pranav.  May this be just the beginning of your fabulous future together.  Happy Friday!!
